Dr. Schmidt earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, followed by her dental degree from the University of Colorado’s School of Dental Medicine in 2012.
Education & Training
Dr. Schmidt completed a year of advanced clinical training at Mercy Hospital’s General Practice Residency in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to the residency program, she gained invaluable experience working alongside her father in his family and cosmetic practice also located in St. Louis.
A Colorado Buffalo at heart, Dr. Schmidt was drawn back to the mountains, returning to Colorado in 2013. Her clinical philosophy is simple, treat every patient like family. By combining a conservative clinical approach with patient centered care, she helps her patients achieve their version of optimal oral health. Beyond private practice, she is deeply committed to public health. Dr. Schmidt spent over a decade providing care in skilled nursing facilities and currently works at a refugee clinic and at a community health center.
Over the years she has traveled to Guatemala , Belize, and the Dominican Republic to provide dental care to those in need. Dr. Schmidt is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society.
When she isn’t in the office, Dr. Schmidt enjoys life in Colorado with her husband and their rescue dog, Lilly. You’ll likely find her skiing in the winter, tending to her garden in the summer, or out on a hiking trail.
